Last night, the biggest night in fashion, the Met Gala, finally made its return. With the theme as “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion,” the entertainment industry’s biggest names showed up to the iconic Met steps in a variety of looks. From old Hollywood inspired moments to more meta ensembles, the attendees seriously slayed. Along with stunning fashion and iconic hair, the stars’ makeup looks were everything we could have dreamed of.
With smoky eyes, bold lips and even some softer complexions, this year’s glam did not disappoint. Here are ten of the best makeup moments from the 2021 Met Gala.
Actress Zoey Deutch stunned on the steps in her crystal Atelier Versace gown, and we can’t stop looking at it! Paired with matching purple glam from makeup artist Jenna Kristina, the star brought sass and class to her monochromatic moment.
Rocking one of the most iconic looks from the night, Billie Eilish had all eyes on her. With makeup from Robert Rumsey, the singer encapsulated old Hollywood glamour perfectly. Her statement lip and bold eye liner were everything.
Going with a soft complexion and bright blue shadow, Lupita Nyong’o’s makeup really brought her entire look together. Thanks to makeup artist Nick Barose, the star unsurprisingly slayed in her denim ensemble.
With glam from Scott Barnes, Jennifer Lopez had the glowing skin of our dreams last night. Her “all American” Ralph Lauren gown stole the show as she went with a light smoky eye and natural looking eyebrows.
Inspired by the iconic Diana Ross, Keke Palmer showed up and showed out at the Gala. Working with Dina Drevenak for a smoky, silver eye moment and glossy lips, the actress radiated glamour as she hosted Vogue’s red carpet coverage.
Camila Cabello looked straight out of the 70’s with her bold mascara, bright purple eye shadow and matching Michael Kors cut-out gown. The Cher vibes were so strong in this look from Patrick Ta, and we’re obsessed!
This soft, floral moment from Lili Reinhart might just be our favorite! With makeup from Beau Nelson, the Riverdalestar’s pink lip, natural eye shadows and rosy cheeks really let her Christian Siriano gown take center stage.
Slaying another blue eye shadow moment, Gigi Hadid’s glam from Erin Parsons seriously completed her entire look. The winged liner, nude lips and rosy cheeks paired gorgeously with her Prada ensemble, and we’re loving it!
Another star who always absolutely slays the red carpet is Zoë Kravitz. Her Met Gala glam included very subtle eye shadow, bronzed skin and a nude lip, which perfectly complemented her YSL “naked” gown — all thanks to makeup artist Nina Park.
Last but not least, Euphoriastar Barbie Ferreira brought Hollywood glam to the New York event, and we’ll never get over it. Thanks to Kali Kennedy, the actress’ thin eyebrows, winged eye shadow and pink lips looked killer paired with her custom Jonathan Simkhai dress.
