4 Products That Can Boost Hair’s Health

08/25/2023

Hair is one of the first things that people notice when they see someone. That’s why everyone wants to have healthy hair. This universal emphasis on hair health extends across all countries, covering people from all walks of life. In fact, the global market for hair care stood at over $82 billion in 2022 and is forecast to grow to over $107 billion by 2028.

Hair care involves more than just the appearance of smooth, shiny hair. Proper hair health includes keeping common hair issues in check, such as hair damage, dryness and of course, dandruff.

To help you improve your hair’s health, we’ve prepared a list of four good products to keep your hair and scalp healthy, and not just look good.

Shampoo and Conditioner

This duo is probably the one that you’re most likely to have experience with, with an overwhelmingly large portion of the population using these whenever they shower.

Shampoo is the spear when it comes to hair beauty & health. It helps cleanse both your hair & scalp removing product, oil & dirt build-up. On the flip side, conditioner serves as a shield to protect your scalp through moisturizing, detangling, and maintaining the appearance and health of your hair.

Shampoos and conditioners come in a wide variety, sometimes packaged as a mixture but typically sold separately. One variety that some use is CBD-based shampoo. Not only do CBD shampoos work just as well as shampoos as regular ones, but they can also help with scalp issues like dandruff and eczema.

When applying hair products, it’s always important to consider the ingredients, and how they react with your specific type of hair & scalp. If you’ve ever read the ingredient labels, you have probably seen sulfates listed on a few different brands. For some, this can lead to dry-sensitive scalps as it strips out the natural oils in your hair.

As with everything in life, it’s important to use Shampoo & Conditioner within reason. Over-use can create long-term problems, including breakage, thinning, and dry scalps (Don’t you hate that itch!)

Rogaine

Dealing with hair loss is never a pleasant experience, the good news  – it’s completely normal. Everyone goes through this experience as age takes hold.

Don’t fret… not all hope is lost.

As almost a $13 billion industry, countless research has been conducted to help with keeping hair glowing & beautiful. Rogaine being one of the most popular brands out there. Rogaine’s hair foam formula is also FDA-approved, which means you aren’t going to be trying something experimental and hoping for the best.

There are, however, some things you should keep in mind before trying Rogaine. First off, Rogaine is a type of medicine – and like most medicines, there are potential side effects that you need to understand. Firstly, Rogaine’s hair foam formula has an ingredient in it called minoxidil. It’s FDA approved to promote hair growth, but it does have its side effects.

Some of the most common side effects of using minoxidil include acne, swelling, reddened skin, and a burning sensation on the scalp.

While this may sound great! All aboard…

It’s important to speak to your doctor or dermatologist before you start any product, as products react differently depending on the individual using them. This way you can ensure you have the perfect products for…well, you!

Hair oil

Hair oil is good for your hair for a variety of reasons, the chief of which is that it helps keep your hair from becoming brittle. This can help prevent your hair from breaking, as well as prevent split ends from occurring. However, hair oil has benefits that go beyond just lubricating your hair. Hair oil can also improve the look and feel of your hair.

One problem a lot of people have, especially if their hair goes a little wild, is their hair getting all tangled up. This can not only be a bad look for your hair, but it’s also frustrating to have to brush all those annoying tangles out as well.

Using hair oil can make your hair not only shine, but whatever your hair color is, hair oil can give it a richer look as well. Putting in the work to take care of your hair goes a long way to making you more satisfied with your appearance.

Bentonite Clay

This one is just a bit unusual, I’ll admit, but trust me, this stuff can do a lot of good for your hair and scalp. People use it because it improves the moisture levels of both their hair and scalp, and it also helps clean your scalp, getting rid of toxins and dead skin cells. It also helps deal with hair loss.

Specifically, there are two main ways hair loss is prevented when using bentonite clay. The first is that it helps strengthen the hair, making it less brittle as a result. The second is that it helps clarify the hair follicles, allowing them to more easily absorb water. This has a chance of improving not only hair growth but also making your hair thicker and healthier.

Boosting Hair Health

We all know that famous line: “Don’t judge a book by it’s cover.” However, for most, how often have you got that “Gal, your hair looks amazing”? It’s a confidence booster unlike no other.

While these solutions depend entirely on your personal hair & scalp type, we’re sure you’ll find something here that helps. Whether it’s shampoo and conditioner, Rogaine, hair oil or bentonite clay, a little care goes a long way toward crowning glory!
