Bellus Academy, a career-focused beauty and wellness school offering programs in cosmetology, barbering, esthetics, makeup artistry, and nails across campuses in California and Kansas, has earned a 2026 Excellence in Community Service Award from the California Association of Private Postsecondary Schools (CAPPS) — a recognition that puts its Chula Vista location in the spotlight.
The honor places Bellus among among the top private vocational schools in California – and highlights what sets it apart.
Serving the Community, One Client at a Time
The Excellence in Community Service Award spotlights Bellus Academy’s Chula Vista campus, where giving back is woven directly into the curriculum. Students provide professional grooming and personal care services to underserved populations across San Diego County – including individuals experiencing homelessness, veterans, and families in need. Over the past year, students participated in 46 events, delivering more than 1,600 services to roughly 1,000 individuals – an estimated $46,640 in value.
