Aveda, the global pioneer of plant-powered, high-performance hair care, was behind the hairstyles for the Samuel Guì Yang Spring/Summer 2026 collection at Shanghai Fashion Week earlier this month. The hair looks were led by celebrity stylist XuYouhua, supported by the Laurent Falcon stylist team, using Aveda products to craft a high-style volume style with fullness and shine that they are calling “Forest Hair.”

The hair looks beautifully complimented the Samuel Guì Yang ss26 collection, titled Inner
Tide, which celebrated the brand’s past creative inspiration and key milestones — this show was the brand’s 10th anniversary — and drew heavily from nature. The shared connection to nature and holistic beauty made for a thoughtful and purposeful partnership between Aveda and Samuel Guì Yang.

“By leveraging Aveda’s Invati Ultra Advanced collection and new Miraculous Oil, we transformed the hair – first by lifting the roots and plumping each strand for a thicker appearance, and then adding a smooth, healthy finishing shine,” said XuYohoua. He added, “The hair felt and looked lush and voluminous, emphasizing the ‘Forest Hair’ trend that embodies the season.” Scroll for key images of the “Forest Hair” looks.
