Promising “6+ Artists, 5 Locations, 3 Acts, 1 City,” Hairnomicon isn’t a hair show, it’s an experience. Taking place March 5-6, in New Orleans, Louisiana, the unique format will offer creators a collective learning experience with emphasis on themes of self discovery and identity as an artist behind the chair. Participants will connect with seasoned hair artists, “the Divine Society” (more on that below), and get hands-on training on razor cutting, precision cutting, curly cutting, “vibrational hair color,” editorial styling, hair rituals and more.
“By immersing ourselves into the imagination and creativity of others we can shift our perspectives, approach and expand the boundaries of our own artistry,” said Aryn Detres, Founder of The Left Brain Group — which also produced the Texture vs. Race ’22 Summit!
What to Expect
Programming is broken up into three total “acts.” Act I: The Conjuring, begins with a “A Toast to the Spirits” when a group of friends reunite in New Orleans and discover a Ouija board. “The Divine Society,” comprised of 6 hairdressers past are conjured, each with their own artistic power and ethos. Act II: New Orleans, will celebrate the lure and mysticism of the city with a day of curated activities throughout the French Quarter. The audience will be escorted on a journey to Act III: The Afterworld, at the iconic Music Box Village, where storytelling, live hair performances and music installations will be activated.

Tapping expertise across the salon professional industry, “The Divine Society” really is just that. Celebrity hairstylists, salon owners, brand founders, educators and more, this group will offer Hairnomicon their unique gifts promising instruction that will transform participants — if they’re willing.
