Fresh off her Latin Grammy Awards wins, Colombian superstar Karol G got wet and wild at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards. Literally. La Bichota did a wet look to top all wet looks. And she debuted a fresh platinum — sans the baby pink that’s been her signature, for the last several weeks anyway.
Teaming up again with hairstylist Cesar Deleon Ramirez, The Tease got the scoop on the look. Keep scrolling for his exact steps and the products he used.
“The trick here is to layer products so that you get a wet look even though the hair is not actually wet,” said Deleon Ramirez. Adding, “to ensure that the look stayed in place all night long without compromising her fragile recently bleached hair, I used my favorite products from Rizos Curls.”
Get the Look:
- To start, I sprayed Rizos Curls Beach Waves Texturizing Salt Spray on damp hair from roots to ends.
- Then, I layered the Rizos Curls Curl Defining Mousse on top of that and scrunched to bring out her natural texture.
- Next, I went through individual strands and applied the Rizos Curls Light Hold Gel for hold and to create that piecey look.
- To finish the look, I layered the Rizos Curls Nourish Oil to lock in that wet look and to keep it looking shiny and frizz free. This also helped to ensure that her hair would not dry up and freeze up while she was taking her photos.
