There’s no hairstyle that actress Greta Lee can’t pull off. No matter the color, or whether it’s short or long, with each red carpet appearance and press tour she has proved that she can do no wrong. Case in point, the “Toy Story 5” LA premiere, in which Lee, once again, rocked micro bangs. This time with her jet black hair worn down her back with a glass-like finish — playful and perfect for the event!
Frequent collaborator, celebrity hairstylist, Jenny Cho, was responsible for Lee’s LA premiere hair, and relied on faux fringe for the look. Read on for the exact products she used, including some-yet- to-be-released items from K-Beauty haircare brand, UNOVE.
Get the Look:
- “On damp hair, mist UNOVE Hydracoat Hair Mist throughout to provide lightweight hydration and create the perfect foundation for styling.
- Create a clean center part using a tail comb, then blow-dry the hair starting at the nape with a mixed boar bristle brush to achieve a smooth, polished finish.
- Once the hair is completely dry, refine the strands by gliding a flat iron through the lengths for added sleekness and shine.
- Apply the faux fringe, customizing the placement and shape to best frame the face. For this look, I used a V-shaped fringe, which allows you to blend your natural hair around the edges and helps the piece lay flatter for a more seamless finish. Depending on the face shape, I like the fringe cut closer to the temples to highlight the cheekbones and add a bit of edge. Avoid cutting it too narrow, as it can elongate the face.
- Tuck the hair neatly behind the ears and use the UNOVE Frizz-Calming Sleek Hair Finishing Stick ($15.00) to keep everything polished and in place. Finish by applying color powder along the center part to blend the faux fringe with the natural hair.
