Singer and songwriter Ciara showed up and showed off at the 2025 Met Gala. The singer wowed in a gorgeous black LaQuan Smith gown that was held together by diamond strings. While we loved the overall look, we couldn’t stop staring at her sculpted, cool-toned platinum pixie.
Her ultra-sleek look came courtesy of celebrity hairstylist Cesar Ramirez, who worked with Schwarzkopf Keratin Color and göt2b products. Ahead, he shares a breakdown of how he achieved Ciara’s perfect icy tone.
Get the Look:
- For the base color, Ramirez applied Schwarzkopf Keratin Blonde Platinum 001 evenly to the wig (preferably a high-quality human hair unit) to achieve a true-to-tone platinum base. The keratin-enriched formula keeps the strands strong and silky, even during lightening.
- Then, after rinsing the color, he applied Schwarzkopf Keratin Blonde Anti-Brass Purple Mask generously from root to tip and let it sit for 5–10 minutes to neutralize any brassiness and brighten the platinum. This step enhances vibrancy and gives the color that icy-cool, editorial finish.
- To prep & secure the wig, Ramirez Created a flawless install with long-lasting hold and no lifting using the göt2b Bonding Glue by applying a thin, even layer of bonding glue along the hairline and waiting until tacky. This glue is strong enough for red carpet movement but still flexible for comfort.
- To lock it in, he used göt2b glued Blasting Freeze Spray over the glued lace edge to seal and double-down on hold. This, he explained, ensures the wig stays in place all night—from flashbulbs to afterparties.
