Every year salons can lose thousands of dollars in cancellations and no shows. It is important to create a policy that is supported by all the stylists and owners. With tips like this and so much more, Cassandra McGlaughlin is the one to look for when it comes to business needs.
Cassandra is an award-winning colorist, three-time salon owner, business coach and digital content creator. “Nothing’s ever wasted time, if you can embrace the experience of it.”
“I think that is kind of a trigger point for a lot of stylists. It’s like, ‘Oh, I could never say that or my client’s would never let me do that’. It’s like who’s actually in control here then. Who’s actually making the decisions for your business, you or your client?”
“Our first year open, my salon in Tampa, we had a software that would track no-shows and cancellations. We lost 25K, first year on no-shows and cancellations cause we have such big blocks of time for corrective color and things. We implemented a really strong cancellation policy. The next year, it was down to 3K.”
