Beloved actress Kiernan Shipka just unveiled a stunning new, luminous, multi-tonal hair color that mimics the colors of the sky right before sunset. The “Golden Hour Brunette” shade was crafted by celebrity colorist and Schwarzkopf Professional’s U.S. Creative Director of Color & Technique, Tracey Cunningham, whose goal was to create a style that would radiate both warmth and depth.
Cunningham says, “[Shipka] has an exciting new film coming up, ‘Stone Cold Fox,’ and this was a really fun switch-up for her. She loves playing with color in a way that always feels true to her, but this time we wanted something that had a little more drama without losing that youthful glow she’s known for.” She adds, “[Shipka] didn’t want to go too dark or too bold, just richer, warmer, and more dimensional. Something that photographs like a dream and has that soft, glamorous polish on camera, but still feels completely effortless in real life.”
The rich brunette hue captures the essence of the golden hour glow, with the darker tones sitting at the crown and blonde and brown tones seamlessly blended through the hair. “What I love about this color is the depth. It’s brunette, but it doesn’t feel heavy. It has that golden-hour glow where the light hits the mids and ends, and you get this soft, sun-kissed shimmer,” says Cunningham. And she layered Schwarzkopf Professional’s Igora Vibrance tones to get just that.
