Matrix’s Modern Moves on the Red Carpet

Last night at the 91^st Academy Awards, Hollywood starlets Danai Gurira and Melissa McCarthy stunned on the red carpet with glamourous hairstyles by celebrity stylists Larry Sims and Richard Marin for Biolage. While actresses Priyanka Chopra and Kerry Washington hit the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party with looks reminiscent of the 1950’s and 60’s with a modern edge by celebrity stylists Renato Campora and Takisha Sturdivant-Drew for Matrix.

GET THE LOOK:

1. Start by applying Biolage BlowDry Glotion to damp hair

1. Part hair into small sections, apply Biolage Texture Sap to the roots of the hair, and cornrow away from the face

GET THE LOOK:

1. Apply Biolage BlowDry Glotion to damp hair and blow dry straight

1. Ironing hair straight and spray Biolage Complete Control Fast Drying Hairspray throughout the hair and separate top section of hair and pin away

1. Pull hair back from sides and pull to the back of head into 4 small buns. Then pin the hair creating a line in the back of the head for a faux hawk

1. Backcomb the top section of the hair and brush back into place creating lift for a pompadour and pin into the existing buns at the back of head

Finish by spraying Biolage Freeze Fix all over to lock style in place

GET THE LOOK:

1. Apply Matrix Smooth Setter Smoothing Cream to hair while it is damp to create a strong foundation for the look

1. Separated the hair section by section and blow dried using the Dyson Supersonic dryer. Once the hair is dried, divided the hair into two sections, leaving small pieces at the front of the head to frame the face
