Science-Backed Approach To The Products You Need For Your Textured Hair

07/11/2023

Have you ever had a friend that absolutely raved about a hair product but when you try it out, it does nothing for you? At the end of the day, we all know that there are a lot of factors that make our hair different from each other. It’s truly just science. If your hair isn’t the same, why would the same products work for you?

Dr. Gaby Longsworth was interested in learning my products didn’t always work for her curly hair. She took a deep look into the ingredients and compilation of her favorite products to learned the science behind them. After learning about all the “junk” that can be found in certain products and the misinformation that companies will tell you about their products, Dr. Gaby decided, with the help of her sons, that she should share her database of great products with everyone and Absolutely Everything Curly was born.

Absolutely Everything Curly is a  subscription-based educational space and the unbiased and science-backed go-to source, for people with all types of curly, and wavy hair. The database includes a hair type quiz, tons of product information, ingredients, what products should work for what type of hair, as well as a curly hair salon locator to find the stylist of your dreams.

Dr. Gaby joins Volume Up this week to talk about the conception of Absolutely Everything Curly, her second business Curl Planet and her hair product picks. Tune in wherever you stream to learn a bit about the science behind hair and your favorite products.

“Select the ones that are going to work your hair, more or less, and stop wasting money. It’s not trial and error. It’s like a science based approach to finding the right products for your hair type.”

Curly hair people have a very hard time finding curly haired stylists because you don’t get the training in beauty school and cosmetics school. You have to do it on your own…We put together this database with over 1250 stylists. International also.”

“If you want to have healthy hair and skin and nails, you’ve got to really focus on your health. Exercise and good food. We all know what good foods are. You know? People just sort of ignore it but we all know what those are.”
