Step 1: Starting with a vertical centre panel from the crown to the nape, razor cut a guide, lifting out to keep the length. Work outwards through the back to behind the ear on each side following the guide.
Step 2: Take horizontal sections from the crown, razor cut lightly with the blade laid almost flat against the hair and work through the perimeter lengths for maximum texture.


Step 3: From the crown, take horizontal section and point cut the crown with scissors working from behind fridge section the height of the crown. Leave length throughout.
Step 4: Again using a razor, reduce and feather the length at the nape and the sides.
Step 5: Standing square and facing the client lift out the sections from the crown to the fringe and work towards the front with a razor to add texture and retain length at the fringe.

Step 6: Weave cut with the razor throughout the top and sides to add texture.
Step 7: blow-dry using a Denman D200 Skeleton Vent brush, pulling out the back and gently lifting the roots for soft volume.
Step 8: Add a paste or light pomade and separate and texturize using a Denman D27 Fantail comb.
