Trends We Wish We Left in 2018

02/21/2019

We’re two months into 2019, and though many new trends have emerged that got us STOKED for what’s to come on the runways, there are definitely a handful that we wish we left in 2018… Time to talk about the good, the bad, and the worst.

First and foremost, the infamous “Dad Shoes”. Ya know, the one’s that look like your dad’s old New Balances from the 80’s, but that people are investing hundreds of dollars in now? We are all about athleisure, don’t get us wrong, but these oversized sneaks seem to look a bit like a chicer looking clown shoe.

The next “trend” we just cannot seem to wrap our heads around are teeny, tiny sunglasses. It seems like everyone has started to invest in sunglasses that are made for a Barbie doll, rather than a real human face. However, celebs like Kendall Jenner somehow seem to rock them (is there anything she can’t pull off?)

Although we love the biker shorts trend for spin class, we’re not so sure how we feel about it for the runway or out to dinner. They seem to be a comfy wardrobe staple for when you’re trying to meet your #FitFebruary goals, but personally, we think that that’s just about the only time they work. Love all of our favorite influencers, but we just can’t be convinced to wear this one.

Luckily, 2019 has some time to redeem itself from these fashion faux-pas. We can’t wait to see which trends we love will replace the few that aren’t our faves.
