Something that often gets overlooked is how much research is constantly being done to ensure the improvement of the beauty industry. One of the companies leading this research is Pivot Point International

Pivot Point is a leading provider of hairdressing and beauty education solutions for schools, salons, students, individual stylists, and international distributors.

Recently, Pivot Point teamed up with The Tease to work on a wellness initiative, highlighting a “need to prioritize wellness for beauty professionals as part of a broader industry effort to support a thriving workforce.” 

Steve Reiss, the Executive Director of Strategic Marketing & Business Insights at Pivot Point International, joined us to talk about this partnership and how the research results have brought concerns about wellness into the light. 

The research explored beauty industry wellness challenges concerning professionals and students. Steve discusses these findings in the episode, with an emphasis on how professionals who are NOT taking care of their personal wellness have a harder time taking care of their clients. 

Steve also shared how students are being impacted by these findings, in terms of barriers to student engagement and instruction retention. 

Pivot Point International has taken steps to overcome these barriers, starting with strategic partnerships and a brand-new wellness curriculum.
