Brinkley Garner joined Volume Up last week to talk about the intersection between TikTok and Beauty, for our TikTok X The Beauty Industry series. Brinkley is a model and influencer, who has worked with some big brands as a model and has gained a huge following on TikTok for her hair videos. Her brand is based on helping people do their hair whether it be the right products to use, tips to make it healthier or just cute hairstyles.
Brinkley talked about her journey on TikTok and, with hair like Rihanna, how she got noticed. She went in-depth about how she uses TikTok to teach others with similar hair how to do their hair themselves. She discussed TikTok beauty trends as well as how the beauty industry has begun to reach out on TikTok and what that looks like for ad posts on her profile.

“Now, I would say yes, because I do my hair constantly now like because it is my job. I feel like I have to take care of it. Especially because I’m constantly doing these hairstyles.”
“Just because I might tell you to do something and your hair comes out awfully. And I might do it. And my hair looks great.”
“So I think that people doing their own hairstyles like that and is really good, it saves time and money. And you can do it at home.”
