As NAHA 2022 approaches in April, Volume Up by The Tease wanted to recognize and feature some of the NAHA 2021 winners! We first welcomed Ruth Roche, 2021 Master Hairstylist of the Year. Ruth is a celebrity hairstylist, educator, NAHA Master Stylist of the Year 2021, Lifetime Achievement Award SW Hairstyling Awards winner, and 6 Time NAHA winner.
We also had the pleasure of speaking with the 2021 Men’s Hairstylist of the Year, Nieves Almaraz. Nieves is the first barber to win the NAHA award as Men’s Hairstylist of 2021, Lead WAHL Educator, and barber school owner.
Ruth and Nieves join us this week to discuss how they got into the beauty industry, discuss their entry into 2021 NAHA, how it has changed their life, advice for others in the industry, and where they are going from here.
