Andis Supports the Salon Pro Industry During COVID-19 Outbreak with Resources to Keep People Safe

03/17/2020

As news surrounding COVID-19 continues to break, barbers and other salon professionals are looking for guidance. One brand going above and beyond to inform and support industry professionals is Andis Company.

Andis has been closely monitoring the outbreak and tapped newly appointed Global Education Manager, Angie Perino to give barbers and hairstylists the answers they’ve been looking for. In a four-minute video posted to Facebook and IGTV, Perino shares tips for keeping your shop safe.

In the video, Perino recommends that you “wash your hands before and after every client, after eating, using the restroom, and after blowing your nose, coughing, sneezing or touching your face.”

She also suggests that you “stock your shop. Make sure you have tissues, soap, aerosol disinfectants, like Andis Cool Care, and alcohol-based hand cleansers to encourage healthy habits for both your staff and your clients.”

Andis has penned a letter to the salon professional community to ensure that barbers and hairstylists feel supported. They’ve gathered information and have put together a guide of websites, suggested safety procedures, a tip sheet for navigating social media, as well as a script to use on behalf of businesses.
