Paris Fashion Week had plenty going on, especially at Victor Weinsanto’s Spring/Summer 2027 show. L’Oréal Professionnel joined forces with the French designer to bring the collection’s spirit of “Audace” to life through bold, sculptural hair by French hairstylist Kevin Jacotot.
Jacotot is a renowned hairstylist across the fashion and entertainment industries, as well as the creator of hat and accessory brand Headpeace& hat — and now he’s created custom animal-print extensions, rhinestones and mannequin-sleek shine all in the mix at Weinsanto SS27.

The Collection: Unapologetically Loud
Weinsanto’s “Audace” collection is all about the confidence to be seen, desired and unapologetically take up space. A bestiary of zebra, leopard and reptile prints ran throughout, colliding with sequins, sculptural silhouettes and vibrant color. The show also paid tribute to the LGBTQIA+ community at the heart of the house’s universe.

The Hair
To match that maximalist vision, Kevin went for contrast. His intentionally sleek, high-shine look had hair glued close to the head and completely free of movement, evoking the polished stillness of a store-window mannequin. Against the collection’s explosive prints, color and volume, it made a statement, and let the hair become an extension of the clothing itself.

“It’s very sleek hair, glued close to the head, with zero movement, almost like store window mannequins,” Jacotot explains. “Victor Weinsanto is preparing animal-print extensions that are exact copies of his print fabrics, featuring very Y2K-style streaks, with animal prints placed directly on the hair. We’ll also have four heads adorned with rhinestones, since he has sequined fabrics, we’ll be gluing rhinestones onto the hair and heads. Otherwise, it will be natural glossy hair.”

The Details
The animal print didn’t stop at the clothes. Custom extensions were made to precisely mirror Weinsanto’s printed fabrics, complete with Y2K-inspired streaks and animal motifs that echo the bold, graphic hair trends dominating social media. Four models took it even further, with rhinestones adhered directly onto the hair and head to mirror the collection’s sequined elements. The remaining looks stayed naturally glossy, serving up a polished, reflective finish.

Rather than a finishing touch, hair became an integral part of the runway spectacle. With L’Oréal Professionnel supporting a beauty vision where hair became another form of self-expression, excess and audacity, Weinsanto’s SS27 show proves the boldest runway moments don’t stop at the clothes.
