The vibe at the Ann Demeulemeester SS27 show at Paris Fashion Week was gothy af thanks to hair lead Anthony Turner. In partnership with Schwarzkopf Professional, Turner’s hair design drew on a mix of archetypes, embracing a diverse range of textures, shapes and finishes, and ultimately using the models’ individuality as a guide — as we have seen trend across New York and Paris.

Turner says, “We wanted the hair to reflect each model’s personality and uniqueness, using their natural hair texture and personality to guide us to the end result.”

He adds, “We played with different characters and subcultures, celebrating individuality and self-expression.”
The result is intentionally imperfect and individual – natural texture, loose braids, messy partings and polished lengths. Read on for a breakdown of the key look.
Get the Look:

- Section the hair and mist Schwarzkopf Session Label The Thickener or Schwarzkopf Session Label The Mousse from roots to ends until drenched. (U.S. alternatives: OSiS+ Volume Up for buildable volume, texture and flexible hold, or OSiS+ Grip for mousse-based volume, body and stronger hold.)
- Using your fingers, loosely create a messy center parting from the forehead to the nape.
- At the back, take the hair and create a very low, very loose braid on each side, keeping the texture relaxed and individual.
- Slide a headband over the top of the head, sitting just behind the hairline.
- Smooth Schwarzkopf Session Label The Serum and spray Schwarzkopf Session Label The Flexible over the lengths for a soft, polished finish. (U.S. alternatives: OSiS+ Glow for lightweight smoothing, frizz control and shine, and OSiS Elastic for light, workable, brushable hold.)
