04/26/2023

2023 is shaping up to be a great year for men’s hair judging by all the new hair trends we’ve seen popping up over the last few months. If you’re a stylist with a client hoping to try out a new ‘do this year, just know that they have tons of options right now. From timeless cuts to more messier styles, there are trending hair looks for nearly every hair texture out there

For a better look at what’s happening with men’s hair, The Tease connected with renowned celebrity stylist and colorist for Cleverman, Jorge Buccio, to find out which haircuts and styles he anticipates will be some of the biggest men’s hair trends for this year.

Ahead, take a look at five men’s hair trends to have on your radar.

Loose Texture

Buccio predicts loose texture will be all the rage throughout 2023. “The upcoming year will see a resurgence in loose textured hairstyles,” He explains. “Embracing the natural movement and flow of your hair, this relaxed and versatile look is perfect for those who want to keep things casual and effortless”.

Modern Slambacks

Expect to see vintage silhouettes be given a more contemporary twist this year. In fact, the modern slamback, an updated version of the classic 1950s-inspired slick-back style, is poised to completely take over. According to Buccio, “This look is both polished and stylish, making it a great option for men who want to maintain a clean appearance while still making a statement.”

Tight Fades

With men starting to favor cleaner and more polished looks this year, styles like the tight fade will take center stage! According to Buccio, “This sharp look requires a bit more maintenance to keep the sides tidy, but the results are well worth the effort.

Messy Crop

For those who prefer more tousled looks, look no further than the messy crop. According to Buccio, this classic French crop offers “a balance between shape and messiness while still allowing for disheveled bedhead at the top.”

Faded Crew Cut

Fans of the classic crew cut, prepare to meet your newest obsession: the faded crew cut.  A contemporary take on the popular style, the faded crew cut  incorporates a fade on the sides and back. Plus, not only does this sleek and sharp cut look cool, but it also requires minimal styling!
