Coca Michelle Shares How She Created Tyla’s Peacock Feather Manicure

Tyla’s Met Gala ’26 look is seared into my brain. The sparkle, the skin, the sculpted hair, the metallic elements, the blue — and her nails!

Celebrity Nail Artist and OPI Global Ambassador Coca Michelle created a feathery nail look. The polished, high-shine manicure complimented her peacock-inspired look, and the bold pop of pink under her nails was an unexpected touch that we can’t stop thinking about.

Coca Michelle says, “Tyla’s look was inspired by a few things – with her dress featuring peacock feathers, I wanted to create a feather silhouette on the nails, and she suggested adding a pop of pink using OPI “Strawberry Margarita” under the tips — something we’ve been doing recently with her manicures.” Read on for a detailed breakdown of how she created this set.

Get the Look:

1. “The process started with forming the nail with hard gel then carving in the lines to create the feather base.
2. We used OPI GelColor in “Alpine Snow” as the white base and created teal lines with OPI GelColor in “Baby Tee-L” to accentuate the feather look.
3. Finishing with 3D gemstones to. match the embellishments from her dress, I painted OPI GelColor in “Strawberry Margarita” under the nails for a pop of color.”
4. Top off with OPI GelColor Super Gloss Top Coat to seal the look.
