Eric Vaughn on ‘Growing Up’ Alongside BELLAMI and His New Role as Global Artistic Director

It came as no surprise when BELLAMI announced Eric Vaughn would be its first-ever Global Artistic Director last month. Vaughn was a longtime BELLAMI evangelist, using their extensions since 2017, and has seen first-hand how the brand prioritizes stylists and pushes the industry forward with innovation and education. Now, Vaughn is undertaking that work himself.

In an exclusive interview with The Tease, Vaughn talks his trajectory — as well as how it mirrors the brand’s — his current role, product development and so much more. Read on for our conversation.

The Tease: Tell us about your role as Global Artistic Director with the brand. What will this encompass?

Eric Vaughn: As Global Artistic Director, I lead BELLAMI’s creative vision specifically through the lens of a hairstylist: from product innovation to offering guidance on education and artistry. My focus is on merging craftsmanship with technology, empowering stylists worldwide, and ensuring every BELLAMI experience reflects luxury, performance, and authenticity. 

How do you feel your personal brand and Bellami’s brand align?

Vaughn: BELLAMI and I have always been on the same trajectory in terms of brand identity and aesthetic. We both have grown up a lot over the years, and our brands have never deviated. BELLAMI and I share the same philosophy: empowering stylists through education, innovation, and artistry. My personal brand is rooted in craftsmanship and creativity, and BELLAMI embodies those same values on a global scale.

What values or aesthetics do you think you both share?

Vaughn: Our aesthetics have truly grown in the same direction as well. We started out very high glam and the extra “extension” vibe. We both have grown into a seamless and undetectable aesthetic truly resonating with every single person who wants to see themselves represented. From adding density to adding drama, we really do share a passion and love for encompassing all. We currently share a modern, elevated aesthetic: timeless beauty with a fashion-forward edge. BELLAMI is all about luxury that’s wearable and accessible, and that resonates deeply with me. In terms of values, it’s about quality without compromise, artistry with purpose, and education that empowers. We’re both passionate about uplifting the professional community and setting new standards of excellence in the world of extensions.

What do stylists need to know about BELLAMI? How does it stand apart from other extensions brands?
