“Red is one of those colors that will always feel classic, iconic, and relevant. Trends come and go, but red never really goes anywhere,” says Evanie Frausto. In his latest collection with PRAVANA, the celebrity and editorial hairstylist explores the “timeless” and “forever” nature of one of the boldest colors.
He shares, “Working with VIVIDS felt perfect because this red is supposed to make a statement. It’s loud, unapologetic, punk rock, and fierce. It isn’t trying to disappear.”
On model Chloé Bell, Frausto created “a custom mix of three-quarters PRAVANA VIVIDS Red and one-quarter Wild Orchid,” telling us, “I wanted the red to feel really rich and saturated with a little bit of depth.”
The woman wearing this red is “bold. She’s fearless. She’s sexy, confident, and strong.” He adds, “Red has an energy to it—you have to own it.”
Pairing the red hair and the red lip? Genius. Frausto says, “There’s something so iconic about a classic red lip, and I wanted to bring that same feeling into the hair. When you put the two together, it feels powerful and instantly recognizable.”
