The North American TrendVision Awards are back — and, this year, they are bigger than ever. As one of the most respected professional hair competitions in the industry, the North American TrendVision Awards 2025 are now open for entries, spotlighting visionary colorists, stylists, and students across the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico.
Pros may remember that the North American TrendVision Awards (NATVA) was once part of the global stage, then charted their own course as the Beauty Envision Awards, now NATVA are now reunited with the Global TrendVision Awards — giving artists the chance once again to represent our region worldwide. For the first time in years, two overall winners (one from the Transformation track, one from Editorial) will earn the chance to represent North America on the global stage at Destination 2026, joining top talent from around the world.
This year’s theme, Digital Prism, is a call to embrace the cutting edge: Inspired by AI, Created by Professionals. Read on for the details.

This Year’s NATVA Theme: Digital Prism
This year’s creative direction celebrates the future of beauty — where technology and artistry collide. Expect hyper-dimensional color shifts, weightless textures, and futuristic contrasts. From obsidian bases flickering with molten chrome to soft neutrals layered with pearl and taupe, this trend is designed to ignite bold experimentation.
NATVA 2025 Categories
Artists can compete in one of two tracks:
- Transformation: Color, Cut, or Style
- Editorial: Color, Cut, or Style
Each category includes Professional and Student divisions. Entries must exclusively use Wella Professionals products.
How to Enter #NATVA2025
Entries must be submitted both on Instagram and via the entry form, including the below items.
- A before and after photo
- A video breakdown showing the transformation (before 360, in-process, technique, and final 360)
- A written explanation of inspiration, technique, and products used
Eligibility Requirements:
- Open to licensed professionals and enrolled cosmetology students/apprentices in the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico
- Students must submit their school ID; professionals must submit their license
- Entries must use Wella products exclusively
- A public Instagram account is required for submission
- Pro Tip: Students — nominate your mentor in your entry. They could win big too.
How Entries are Judged
NATVA entries will be reviewed in two rounds by a panel of industry professionals. Criteria include:
- Suitability to model’s features (30%)
- Quality of execution, condition, and shine (40%)
- Alignment with the “Digital Prism” trend (30%)
The top five finalists per sub-category will be named, with one winner per sub-category for 12 winners total.

Each of the 12 winners will receive the below prizes!
- $1,000 USD Visa gift card
- A cut, color or Style Certification at the Wella Studio in Calabasas, California
- 6-month Wella Passionista status*

In addition, two overall winners (one from Transformation, one from Editorial) will be flown to Destination 2026 to represent North America at the Global TrendVision Awards (TVA).
