Pros, this one’s for you! If you’ve been craving a newfound spark behind the chair, it’s time to meet Gilad Goldstein, aka @myguiltycrown.
This October 25-26th, Goldstein is putting on a two-day haircutting and color workshop in Los Angeles, bringing his modern approach to haircutting with him. The experience kicks off with a Sunday evening Look & Learn in El Segundo, followed by a full day of hands-on mentoring.
Who Is Gilad Goldstein?
Goldstein has been building his career in professional beauty since he was a teenager. He began working in salons at 16 while attending technical school, later completing a cosmetology program and training at the Redken Exchange in New York City, where he became Redken Certified in both Color and Design. From those early days behind the chair, Goldstein has grown into a hairstylist, educator, and digital creator whose work reaches millions of beauty pros and hair enthusiasts around the world.
Education has played a major role in that journey. Goldstein became an Artistic Educator for Ulta Beauty, teaching core color and trend techniques to support the retailer’s thousands of salon professionals, before joining the Ulta Beauty Design Team and taking his education to industry stages including America’s Beauty Show and Premiere Orlando. He has also developed education for Ulta Beauty ranging from foundational haircutting to advanced detailing and personalization. Today, he is also a Redken Artist, continuing to bring his approach to professional education.
Creatively, Goldstein is known for taking inspiration from outside the traditional hair world. Pop culture, anime, fashion, and digital trends regularly make their way into his work, resulting in everything from bold color transformations to highly textured, razor-cut shapes. The through line is making those more conceptual ideas work in the salon, translating fantasy and trends into techniques and looks that can actually be adapted for clients.
That combination of technical skill and creativity has earned Goldstein recognition across the professional beauty industry. He was named a 2025 NAHA Haircutting finalist and returned as a 2026 NAHA Haircolor finalist, while also being part of Ulta Beauty’s 2026 Team of the Year finalist group.
But what has helped Gilad resonate with such a large audience is Goldstein’s ability to make technical education feel accessible. Across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, he has built a community of more than 2 million followers by mixing education with entertaining, easy-to-digest content. Rather than simply showing stylists how to recreate one specific look, his approach focuses on understanding the reasoning behind the technique so they can personalize it, experiment with it, and ultimately make it their own behind the chair. While teaching, he will always ask stylists the “why” behind each cut to bring practical inspiration back to the salon.
What You’ll Learn
The class is designed for hairstylists who want to widen their creative range and their service menu. The focus is modern haircutting for expressive, wearable shapes, including butterfly and wolf-cut techniques, razor-cut texture, airy movement, and creative detailing.
