It turns out it’s true; celebrities are just like us! They too have fallen victim to boredom during quarantine and have turned to transforming their hair as a way to cope.
Whether a makeover or a make-under, here are 8 celebrity quarantine hair transformations.
Straying away from her signature blonde locks, actress Hilary Duff decided to go blue on Sunday. The Younger star revealed her new ‘do on Instagram, simply captioning the post, “yea,” along with a shrugging emoji. Duff later joined her husband Matthew Koma for an Instagram Live, where her new hair was pulled back into a chic low pony.
There are no rules in quarantine, so Pink decided to take matters into her own hands and give herself a hair trim. In a video posted to IGTV, the singer revealed her handiwork inspired by alcohol and encouraged others to try cutting their own hair. “Stay safe. Stay home. Cut your own hair. Screw it,” she said while showing off her new choppy cut.
Tallulah Willis decided to rid of her hair all together when she traded in her pixie-length cut for this buzzed look late last week. In a video captioned with a simple handshaking emoji, the actress revealed that it was actually her father Bruce who gave her the cut.
Jennifer Love Hewitt
Jennifer Love Hewitt revealed her new look to her Instagram followers at the beginning of April in a #relateable post. Captioning the photo “The smile of a girl who just did at home hot pink highlights because what else can I do right now,” Hewitt had no shame in her dye job. She even tagged her longtime hairstylist Nikki Lee in the post, asking her to not be mad.
Another celeb feeling blue while staying at home is country star Lauren Alaina. The “Road Less Traveled” singer revealed early into the quarantine that she traded in her blonde hair for this vibrant color. And it’s “probably gonna stay that way teal [the quarantine] is over.”
It took a full-on quarantine for Ariana Grande to put her signature slick ponytail to rest. The singer finally showed fans her gorgeous natural hair while donning a fun butterfly filter on Instagram. In a caption-less video posted on her feed, Ari revealed her two-toned natural curls. And we are loving it!
After recovering from COVID-19 himself, Colton Underwood took to Instagram on Saturday to reveal his new quarantine cut. “I let @cassierandolph cut my hair… safe to say she won this battle and I will be wearing a hat for a while,” the former Bachelor captioned the post. The hilarious result has fans and followers questioning whether the cut is actually real or not.
Another celebrity trading in a natural hair color for a bright new shade is actress Stephanie Beatriz. The Brooklyn Nine-Nine star, who said “cabin fever has [her] coloring [her] hair,” added a rich shade of pink to her usual dark locks. Beatriz revealed in the comments that hairstylist Kait Collins actually sent her an at-home kit so she could get the job done herself.
