By now you’ve heard about the acceptance speech (which, no notes) but did you see her hair? Before her win, “Hacks” star Hannah Einbinder hit the Emmys red carpet with the most stunning hair flip, exaggerated, for sure, but executed expertly by longtime hairstylist Jerrod Roberts. Over-the-top in the very best way.
Roberts tells The Tease, “Hannah’s stylist and I wanted something timeless and chic — elevated but not too ‘lady.’ I drew inspiration from the late ’60s and early ’70s, reinterpreted with a modern edge.”
Read on for a detailed breakdown of the look directly from Roberts. Thank us all later.

- “I prepped her hair with water spray, RŌZ root spray, and volumizer, then blow-dried her bob in sections.
- Using large Trademark Beauty Velcro rollers, I set the ends to flip outward — front sections rolled far off-base for movement without root lift.
- Once all sections were set, I misted with R+Co Outer Space Hairspray and allowed them to cool.
- To finish, I slicked down her baby hairs with pomade, hairspray, and an edge brush. Then I used the new Aveda Miraculous Oil and Hairspray to get it perfect and shiny.”
