Fashion and beauty icon, Julianne Moore, hit the premiere for her new film, Jesse Eisenberg’s directorial debut aptly titled, “The Debut,” in a loud Bottega top and the quietest little low-slung pony.
Celebrity hairstylist, Owen Gould, created the chic style, saying, “I wanted Julianne’s hair to be sleek and elegant to complement her Bottega look.” Keep reading for a breakdown of her perfect low ponytail directly from Gould.
Get the Look:
- “I started by prepping Julianne’s damp hair with a lightweight heat protectant, working it evenly from roots to ends to create a smooth foundation.
- Next, I applied a small amount of smoothing cream through the mid-lengths and ends to control frizz and give the hair that soft, polished finish.
- Using a medium round brush, I blow-dried the hair in sections, keeping the airflow directed down the hair shaft for maximum smoothness and shine. I kept the ends soft with just a slight bend rather than making them too curled or “done.”
- Once dry, I went over any areas that needed a little extra polish with a flat iron, keeping the movement natural and the finish sleek but not flat.
- I finished with a touch of lightweight hair oil through the ends for shine before gathering it into a low ponytail at the nape.
- The final touch was a mist of Parfums de Marly Delina Hair Perfume. It leaves the hair beautifully scented and feels like the perfect finishing detail for a polished red-carpet look.”
