Given this, it is no surprise that Olivia Garden just announced two new state-of-the-art tools bound to be adored by hair professionals all over the world.
One of Olivia Garden’s upcoming launches is the NewCycle™ Thermal Brush Collection. Arguably one of the most exciting aspects of this new line of brushes is their environmentally-conscious nature. All components of the brush include recycled materials. The barrel uses recycled aluminum. The miscellaneous plastic parts, such as the brush neck and styling pick, are made from recycled appliances. The handle is constructed from recycled consumer goods, including toys and shoes.
“We were the first company to make brushes from bamboo – a renewable resource – but we haven’t stopped there. The NewCycle™ Thermal Brush Collection makes use of plastic from discarded household appliances to help reduce waste,” said Anne Maza, Co-Owner of Olivia Garden. “We found a way to offer a complete range of brushes made from 100% recycled materials without affecting performance, quality, or longevity. Hairstylists can feel good about using these brushes everyday.”
Another perk is that the brush’s construction of 100% recycled materials does not have any effect on its capabilities. The bristols on the brush are ion charged, serving to hydrate the cuticle and minimize frizz. There is also a range sizes, as the collection offers 1”, 1 ¼”, 1 ⅝”, and 2 ⅛” barrels.
The other new tool that Olivia Garden is releasing is the FineCutPRO™ Shear. These point cutting shears are composed of extremely sharp reinforced steel alloy, making them a perfect tool for precise cuts. These shears are ideal for trimming around a client’s ears or hairline, as well as for point cutting and graduation.
“Point cutting is an art and we wanted to provide hairstylists with a tool that allows them to deliver for their clients,” said Maza. “The FineCutPRO™ Shear was designed with ultra-sharp thin and pointy blades that allow hairstylists to soften ends and impart texture with ease,”
The shears come in three sizes, 5.5”, 6”, and 6.5”, and can accommodate left or right handed users. Purchasing the shears also comes with a zipper case, ShearCare™ oil brush, cleaning cloth, finger ring inserts, and a tool designed to adjust tension.
