Actress, entrepreneur and activist Taraji P Henson has received well-earned praise for speaking out against inequalities facing Black women in the entertainment industry. Noting that she and many others must work constantly for the “math to math,” Henson expressed what amounted to heartbreak for the generation of Black creatives following in her footsteps and struck a nerve. There has been an outpouring of online support for Henson and an appreciation of her work in the aftermath.
Celebrity hairstylist Tym Wallace channeled that energy for last night’s Emmys look, letting Henson shine on the red carpet.
