Oli G takes a playful approach to hair care. Its bright, colorful packaging breaks from the clinical aesthetic often tied to science, a choice meant to make pro-level products feel approachable. At the center of every formula is the powerhouse molecule, oligopeptides, which smooths and strengthens strands while boosting their overall health and feel.
This is the brand’s plan: to bring pro-level performance products to everyday consumers without sacrificing quality.
Head of Brand and Creative, Maura Martinez, describes Oli G as a “Miami-made, Miami-inspired professional haircare line created to bring salon-quality results into everyday life.”
“We designed Oli G for both stylists and clients who want high-performance, easy-to-use, safe for all hair, products that deliver real results from the very first use without inflated prices or complicated steps,” Martinez explained.
Oli G’s name is a playful nod to the star of the show ingredient, oligopeptides. Martinez explained that the company’s CEO came across the tiny molecules while exploring advanced cosmetic biotechnology for targeted hair repair.
“We noticed they were starting to appear in other products, but often in formulas that felt overly prescriptive or too strong for some hair types,” Martinez explained. “So, we set out to create something just as effective, but gentler, more versatile, and enhanced with natural ingredients wherever possible to amplify the benefits, that became the foundation for our signature Atomic Hair Repair Leave-in Treatment formula.”
The Atomic Hair Repair Leave-in Treatment is a deep treatment that, powered by the molecules, promises to rebuild, smooth, and strengthen the hair from within.
“Oligopeptides are a specific type of peptide made up of just a few amino acids linked together, and yes, they’re part of the peptide family,” explained Oli G‘s educator & hair stylist, Flower Avila. “When applied to the hair, oligopeptides work on multiple levels, they attach to the cuticle to smooth it down and reduce frizz, and their small molecular size allows them to travel deep into the strand and bond with keratin for structural support. The result is hair that feels softer, more flexible, and less prone to breakage.”
When asked if peptide is an essential ingredient for hair routines, Avila said “essential depends on the individual and the condition of their hair,” but, “for anyone with chemically processed, heat-styled, or aging hair, oligopeptides can be a game-changer since they target structural repair in a way that noticeably improves strength, smoothness, and resilience.”
The peptide, she added, is especially helpful for “fine and brittle hair, heat damage, hair that’s been bleached and chemically processed, curly and naturally coily hair, hair that’s showing signs of aging, such as loss of elasticity and density.”
This is one of the biotech ingredients that the company plans to have in its repertoire long term. Martinez said this year’s company plans include introducing “fresh product innovations that harness the latest in biotech ingredients, including advanced peptide blends.”
Oli G will also continue to expand its salon partnerships across the United States, growing across retail and social media channels, and launching into new international markets.
