Shelley Lane, milk_shake Global Artistic Ambassador, just released her latest collection, LAMINAR. LAMINAR is inspired by the flow of smooth, uninterrupted movement with purpose and direction. That idea guided Lane’s every decision, from shape and finish to color and texture.
“LAMINAR explores hair where clean geometry, controlled movement, and refined design take precedence,” says Shelley Lane. “The collection presents a modern editorial vision rooted in structure, precision, and purpose,” she adds.
milk_shake Lifestyling products were used throughout the collection to sculpt, define and control the hair. The aim was to create looks that hold their form while still feeling fluid, polished, and contemporary, and never stiff or overworked.
Lane says, “milk_shake Liquid Styler was the hero product throughout the LAMINAR collection for its unique ability to create definition, control and structure while maintaining movement. Its fluid lightweight texture allowed the hair to be sculpted with precision, enhancing clean lines and intentional form without stiffness or build-up. The product offered flexible hold with a polished finish, making it ideal for shaping refined structures and maintaining discipline within the hair.”
“The final touch came from milk_shake Let It Shine, enhancing light reflection and surface smoothness, giving the hair a luminous, polished finish that elevated the clean geometry of the collection under studio lighting,” adds Lane.
To complete the palette, Lane incorporated her personal favorites from the milk_shake direct color range, introducing soft pastels and earthy tones that added subtle depth and nuance throughout the collection.
Lane says, “The color palette is refined and muted, featuring soft blondes, tonal neutrals, and gentle pastels. These shades were selected to enhance light and structure, allowing silhouebe and shape to lead the story.”
