Whether she’s on or off the court, Naomi Osaka can always be counted on to serve a sartorial grand slam. That was certainly the case when the tennis pro attended the 2021 ESPY Awards on Saturday and took home the awards for Best Female Athlete and Best Female Tennis Player.

The tennis champion went for full-glam wearing a bold top-and-skirt combo from Louis Vuitton Resort 2021. While her ensemble was definitely dazzling in its own right, all eyes were without a doubt on her gorgeous hair.

For her big night, Osaka rocked a snatched long ponytail featuring bejeweled baby hairs that came courtesy of hairstylist Marty Harper — who relied on all Sebastian Professional styling products to bring this incredible look to life. According to Harper, much of the inspiration for her rhinestone pony was pulled from her outfit. “When creating this look, the blouse and skirt from Louis Vuitton pushed us,” he explained. “The high shine and pops of rhinestone were to embrace this star.”

How to Get The Look

If you’re dying to recreate Osaka’s killer pony for yourself, you’ll want to grab some Sebastian Professional styling products and follow these simple steps —straight from Harper himself.

Step 1: Prep the hair with Sebastian Professional Dark OIl Shampoo and Conditioner.

Step 2: Blow dry using Sebastian Professional Potion 9 for conditioning and styling benefits.

Step 3: Once dry, section hair from nape and spray with Sebastian Professional Trilliant for heat protection and shine.

Step 4: Curl and set with Sebastian Professional Shaper Plus to secure wave and set against humidity.

Step 5: Set baby hairs with Sebastian Professional Gel Forte, then place rhinestones.

Step 6: Give the final look another spray of Sebastian Professional Shaper Plus for strong hold and humidity protection.
