The Puppet
According to Mackinder, this hairdresser is eager to please, collaborative, client-focused, adaptable. She says, “Puppets thrive with direction but can be overpowered by demands and often struggle with confidence.”
The Entertainer
Magnetic, charismatic, beloved by clients. Mackinder says, “entertainers create a lively salon experience but may become overly talkative and are prone to prioritizing connection over technique.”
The Technician
Are you methodical, detail-oriented and technically precise? You may be a “Technician.” Mackinder tells us, “Technicians deliver flawless results with discipline, but may lack flexibility, creativity and emotional connection with clients.”
The Artist
Visionary, inventive and emotionally expressive. Mackinder says that “artists produce unique and inspired work, but can be inconsistent, structure resistant and undisciplined.”
The Pedestal
Last but not least, “Pedestal” hairdressers are masterful, experienced and inspiring. Mackinder calls these traits “a true legacy-builder.” Pedestals embody all archetypes with depth, but may struggle with ego, are resistant to change and can self-sabotage.
