The Ouidad Certification Program is a two-day, hands-on training designed for experienced stylists to master Ouidad’s proprietary curl cutting, styling, and client care techniques, helping them become certified curl experts within the brand’s professional community.
“At Ouidad, Certification is about far more than learning how to cut curly hair — it’s about giving stylists the confidence, technical foundation, and curl-specific expertise to truly transform their business behind the chair,” says Jocelyn Smith, Senior Director of Education at Ouidad. She adds, “Through our proprietary cutting and styling methodologies, consultation approach, and product prescription education, stylists leave equipped to deliver a consistent, elevated experience for every curl type while building stronger client loyalty, increased service revenue, and long-term authority within the textured hair space.”
To qualify, stylists must meet industry experience requirements, complete prerequisite Ouidad classes and testing, and enroll in the program, which costs $1,495 standard or $1,795 with Tondeo shears included.

- 3 Years Industry Experience
- Working in a Ouidad Retail Salon
- Attended Curl Lab Virtual Class
- Attended Curl Confidence Class
- Register/Paid for 2 Day Certification Course
- Pass On-Line Pre-Requisite Test
