Recreate Chappell Roan’s Cat Eye Nail from The Resonator Awards

Singer Chappell Roan rocked an expectedly over the top cat eye nail design at The Resonator Awards from We Are Moving the Needle. The very gothy, very her nails immediately grabbed our attention, especially when photographed with her trophy, so we needed to know everything.

Celebrity Manicurist Rachel Sun created the look, which she calls a “Dark Jewel Encrusted Cat Eye Set” using Aprés Nail products. Read on for a detailed breakdown on how the design came together directly from Sun herself.

Get the Look:

1. Aprés Natural Square Short Gel-X Tips (with the Gel-X system)
2. Start with 1x coat of Aprés Gel Couleur ‘Midnight Shadow’
3. Layer on top Aprés Astral Gel Couleur ‘Trine’ Velvet Cat Eye and magnetize around the whole nail for a full aura effect
4. Seal with Aprés clear Top Gelcoat X for protection
5. Attach rhinestones, jewels, sequins, and caviar beads around the edges and finish with a final topcoat
