Designer Keana Sky Wenger rocked the perfect ponytail at the 2026 Golden Globes and we have celebrity hairstylist, makeup artist, and brand founder, Anissa Salazar to thank. Salazar achieved a height that was giving drama, but not demanding attention a la Ariana Grande’s go-to pre “Wicked,” which makes sense since Wenger, who attended alongside her partner, likes to keep a low profile.
Salazar tells The Tease, the vibe was “chic and romantic.” And that the key for a statement pony is showing off length and the profile. Both are “always a must,” in her words.
Read on for a detailed breakdown on the look including the exact products Salazar used.

Get the Look:
- “Rough dry, using Tecuane Esperanza Scalp Tonic, to hydrate the scalp on wet hair.
- Use Oribe Rough Luxury Soft Molding Paste around edges, combing back with a soft boar bristle brush (I love my Mason Pearson!).
- Pro tip: use a light mist of water to help prep the hair and slick back, then, go in with layers of pomade, gel and hairspray, and brush into place.
- Tie back with a black hair tie, and wrapping hair around the hair tie for a super sleek and smooth finish.
- In sections, I used my ghd flat iron, create a mix of S wave curls, and left and right rotation curls, leaving the last 2 inches with natural texture.
- Back comb the highest point of pony for height and texture.
- Finish with a cocktail of UNITE Lé:Play Hairspray and Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray.“
