Brooke Raymond Shares What She Packed for Lisa Barlow’s Flawless BravoCon ’25 Hair

11/19/2025

Fans of the “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” know that Lisa Barlow “does big things.” Famously, this includes “bringing glam everywhere,” so, it wasn’t a shock that she stunned at this year’s BravoCon in Vegas.

Working with celebrity hairstylist Booke Raymond and makeup artist Nikki La Rose-Bonaldi, Barlow delivered elevated versions of what’s become her signatures. Let’s just say the shine on her hair and lip gloss were shinier than ever, matching her star power.

The Tease took note and linked up with Raymond to talk all things this year’s BravoCon, her collaboration with Barlow, the products she used (Kérastase was in the mix, of course) and way more. Read on for our conversation.

The Tease: You’re just back from BravoCon, styling RHOSLC star Lisa Barlow’s hair. How was it?

Brooke Raymond: Lisa Barlow is known for bringing her glam everywhere, and it really is so true. We were with her constantly during the convention from sun up to sun down to make sure she was looking flawless all day long! She is a lot of fun to work for and is always taking such good care of her team. There were lots of photos, panels, meeting fans, and Wendy’s Frosty’s of course!  It was really cool to see in real time the impact that Lisa has on her fans. People were constantly approaching her everywhere we went.

One thing I love about Lisa is that she always goes out of her way to make her fans feel important by taking time with anyone who stops her. I witnessed multiple fans (not just at the event itself) that would get emotional talking to her or seeing her because of the positive influence she makes by just being herself. It really changed my perspective on the reality TV world and how special it is that Lisa gets to be such a role model for her audience in their everyday lives.

Going into BravoCon, how did you prep for Lisa? Did you talk in advance about the looks or was it more based on the vibe?

Raymond: No, we didn’t plan any looks ahead of time so packing a kit is the most stressful part. Lisa likes to choose her looks depending on her vibe that day and she doesn’t plan her outfits in advance, she usually just goes with what she’s feeling. It definitely helps that we keep it simple between her few signature hairstyles so I don’t worry that we don’t really discuss looks beforehand. When I’m packing my kit for Lisa I can never go wrong when I have my L’Oréal Professionnel AirLight Pro Hair Dryer, round brushes, rollers, Kenra hairspray and a T3 Straightening iron

Lisa’s known for center-parted, mega shine hair and BravoCon was no exception. Tell us about the products you were using in Vegas to get that look.

Raymond: Lisa can’t live without her Kérastase Thermique. This is a super weightless cream that we coat on her hair before we dry it, and I am convinced that is the ultimate secret to her signature shine. I love it because it doesn’t leave any residue or weigh the look down at all. We use heat almost everyday which can be damaging, so this cream ensures ultimate heat protection. It also seals the cuticle beautifully especially on the mids and ends to get that glass hair look. We barely have to use a straightener because of how smooth it looks after the blowout, so this product is magic. I also love to have the Color Wow Shine Extra Mist-ical Shine Spray on hand as well to give that extra glossy look once it’s all dry. I will usually just do a light mist on her mid lengths and ends.

Lisa changed it up on us all during BravoCon and rocked a bit of a crimped look. Tell us more about her willingness to experiment with something new. Does it take convincing or is she open-minded?

Lisa is one to lean more towards her signature straight look for sure, but we have built a trust between us where she occasionally lets me try different styles that will suit her best. We draw a lot of inspiration from Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez. She likes a effortless, loose, sexy feel with any look we do and it matches her fashion sense seamlessly, so we really can’t go wrong when we stick to that overall vibe. It definitely takes some convincing to get her to try new things but if she can see a photo of it first that helps a lot with her willingness to branch out with looks like this. She ended up loving the loose waves we did and got so many compliments too so we will definitely be adding it to the rotation!
