After months of teasing, EPILOGUE, the first permanent hair color line from cult favorite Danger Jones, is officially here. Epilogue marks a disruptive full-system debut with 84 intermixable shades delivering 100% gray coverage, true-to-tone performance, and reliability for professionals behind the chair.
Developed in Milan by founders David and Alexis Thurston, alongside leading global colorists, and Danger Jones Global Ambassadors, the Epilogue line was tested on live models under controlled lighting to ensure peak performance. The innovative PPD- and resorcinol-free formula features a built-in vegan bonding complex with plant-based micro proteins, plus chia seed oil for fade protection, aloe vera oil for hydration, and jojoba oil for enhanced softness and shine.

Alexis Thurston, who in addition to founding Danger Jones also serves as the brand’s chief product officer, tells The Tease, “As artists, we’ve been expected to work around outdated formulas for years, adjusting and correcting instead of trusting what’s in the tube. So we started over.” She continues, “Epilogue was built from the ground up to be modern, consistent, and simple. It gives artists something they can trust completely. Reliable results without the workarounds we’ve all been forced to accept for far too long.”

What’s more, the Epilogue launch campaign puts artists at the center. You won’t find models or pop stars. Danger Jones chose to spotlight four stylists, and Danger Jones Global Ambassadors, Tia Lambourn, Chrissy Danielle, Emily Chen, and Kylee Akina.

Chrissy Danielle says, “I loved being part of the formulation and testing process in Italy, but what excites me most is what Epilogue stands for. I’m proud to represent a brand that puts artists first.”
Visually, Epilogue makes a bold entrance onto the scene too. Packaging white-on-white, debossed packaging that’s designed to stand apart on shelf. The 2oz/60 mL tubes mix 1:1 with Danger Jones Deluxe Cream Developers (5-40 volume) and process in 35-45 minutes.
