Evanie Frausto Gives Us ‘Guava Girl’ Hair

08/07/2025

Celebrity and editorial hairstylist Evanie Frausto has created his own interpretation of the “Guava Girl” beauty trend but for hair. Frausto gives us the most flattering, chic tropical sunkissed guava pink wash with PRAVANA’s ChromaSilk VIVIDS.

β€œGuava pink is having a major moment,” says Frausto. β€œThink sun faded, sheer, worn in. A hue of color that catches the light.” To bring his vision to life, he β€œused PRAVANA ChromaSilk VIVIDS in Pink, Magenta and Clear,” adding, “you can adjust how much Clear you add depending on how soft or saturated you want it.”

Releasing photos to document the trend, Frausto says, ” we added a dot of Magenta to give it an extra vibrant wash. It is like a watercolor wash over blonde. Just enough pigment to feel different but soft enough to fade out beautifully in a couple of weeks. As it fades it gets even prettier. Think of it as a filter for your hair, custom, wearable and totally noncommittal.” Delicious.

Scroll for Frausto’s formula.

Get the Look:

  1. “I started with a lower volume developer in the back and a higher volume in the front so everything would lift evenly and rinse out at the same time.
  2. Each section was foiled separately to monitor the lift. Processed for about an hour, adjusting for placement and volume since the hairline lightens faster.
  3. I rinsed with PRAVANA Perfect Blonde Shampoo and followed with the Perfect Blonde Conditioner.
  4. I towel dried her hair, then mixed PRAVANA ChromaSilk VIVIDS: 1 part Pink, Β½ part Magenta, and 4 parts Clear to create a soft Guava shade. Applied and processed for 25 minutes.
  5. Rinsed, applied PRAVANA Intense Therapy Leave In Conditioner, and styled!”
