Beauty was Lisa’s first language. Some of her earliest memories are of Sunday nights spent in an at-home “hair salon,” where her grandmother and mother would wash, detangle, and carefully set hair with rollers and a hooded dryer. It was slow, intentional, and deeply personal, having more meaning than just hair. It was about taking care of yourself.

Before entering the beauty industry, Lisa built a celebrated career as an orthodontist. That background consisted of precision and design matter, and it became the foundation for her approach to innovation. When she realized the rollers she had relied on for over 50 years no longer existed in a form that truly worked, she saw a clear gap in the market. Drugstore rollers were inefficient, and luxury options that honored the ritual simply didn’t exist.

Introducing French Barrelettes

French Barrelettes’ changes that. Designed with a patent-pending stainless steel core with hexagonal cutouts, it reduces drying time and prevents frizz. They are wrapped in a smooth, polyester fabric, improving results without requiring professional-level skill.The rollers are designed to do the work for you.
