Glossier, the “au naturale” makeup and skincare mogul that shook the beauty industry has released a new line of products: Glossier Play. Glossier is known for their beauty staples that enhance users’ natural beauty. They aim to encourage the “no makeup makeup look,” and emphasize the importance of putting skincare first and makeup second. Their positive messaging, avid consumer interaction on Instagram, and adorable pink packaging has led to their insane popularity amongst millennials, so we couldn’t help but squeal when they announced their Glossier Play line.
They describe Glossier Play as “a brand of dialed-up beauty extras”. If traditional Glossier makeup is your everyday wear, Glossier Play products are the colorful, sparkly additions that add a pop of excitement to your basic makeup look. The initial launch consists of four products: a lip lacquer, colorful eye pencil, glittery gel and liquid highlighter. It’s safe to say that we’re already obsessed.
“Vinylic Lip High Shine Lacquer” comes in a pen-like applicator and creates an extremely shiny finish. There are six gorgeous colors to test out for a variety of statement lips that we are dying to try out.
The “Colorslide Technogel Eye Pencil” is already available in 14 fabulous shades that we can’t wait to experiment with. There’s nothing like a bright eye pencil to add a pop of color to a classic look.
Glitter gelée just might be the product that we are the most excited for. It’s a glitter gel that you can put just about anywhere when you’re feeling a little sparkly. When you’re looking to ~shine bright like a diamond~ this is the product for you.
Last, but definitely not least, is the Niteshine highlighter concentrate. This liquid, buildable highlighter is available in four gorgeous metallic shades to give you the dewey look we all know and love (a lot!). All of the hues have a pinky undertone that we just can’t get enough of.
It’s safe to say that we’ll definitely be investing in “The Playground,” a set complete with all four products as well as a sharpener for the eye pencil and an applicator for the glitter gel. We can’t wait to see what else Glossier Play has in store for us!
