- I began by using a heat-activated humidity sealant spray on her damp hair to set the foundation for smooth, frizz-free styling. Once her hair was dry, I styled with intention using the Calista 0.75″ Perfecter. The cool-touch nylon teeth on this unique heated round brush allowed me to style directly to the scalp, creating subtle bends, flips, and volume, starting right from the root. The smallest barrel size was perfect for her pixie; it let me work in tiny sections and style the hair in any direction, rather than just a traditional curl.
- I alternated the direction of individual pieces through the crown and around the hairline, letting some turn up, some fall forward, and others simply land where they wanted.
