How Kylee Heath Created Erin Andrews’ Sleek Wedding Guest Updo for Taylor Swift’s NYC Wedding

07/07/2026

Sports commentator and personality Erin Andrews turned heads in a gorgeous black backless Gucci gown and sleek updo, while attending one of the most talked-about events of the summer on July 3rd.

Behind the look was her longtime stylist and Schwarzkopf Brand Ambassador, Kylee Heath, who flew in to NYC especially for the occasion to create a sophisticated, timeless hairstyle to match. The best part? The styling products used can all be found at Walmart for under $15.

“We wanted to show the dress off and keep the look elevated and chic so we decided to pull the hair back, keeping it polished, shiny & sleek,” Heath explains.

Keep reading for the full breakdown of the look.

Get the Look:

Step 1: Starting with damp hair, mist KERATÎME Anti-Frizz Spray throughout the hair for lightweight frizz control, humidity protection, and heat defense. Then apply a few drops of KERATÎME Hair Bonding Oil through the mid-lengths and ends to nourish, smooth, and create a glossy foundation.

Step 2: Create a clean center part and blow-dry the hair using a large round brush until silky smooth with a polished finish. Once dry, section away the front of the hair.

Step 3: Warm a little more KERATÎME Hair Bonding Oil between your hands and work it through the back section to enhance shine and control. With the head tilted back, gather the hair into a sleek ponytail at the center back of the head, positioning the finished bun to sit as a natural extension of the jawline, complementing the neckline of the gown.

Step 4: Working one side at a time, apply another small amount of KERATÎME Hair Bonding Oil to the front left section before combing it smoothly back with a fine-tooth comb and securing it into the ponytail. Repeat the same process on the right side to create a perfectly sleek, seamless finish.

Step 5: Once the ponytail is secured, run a flat iron through the length for an ultra-smooth finish, then divide it into two sections. After applying another drop of KERATÎME Bonding Oil, wrap the first section around the base of the ponytail in a soft figure-eight motion and pin it into place. Repeat with the second section, beginning underneath and wrapping upward to create a modern, sculptural bun. Secure the style with pins throughout, intentionally leaving a few ends exposed on the right side for a contemporary, effortless feel.

Step 6: To finish, warm one final drop of KERATÎME Bonding Oil between the palms and lightly smooth it over the surface of the hair, adding luminous shine and a polished finish.
