Check in to the “Pressiat Hotel” where every room has its own hair. For its Spring-Summer 2027 show at Paris Fashion Week, Pressiat took over Bus Palladium, an iconic Parisian nightlife venue shaped over the years by legendary figures from music, fashion, and the arts. Each room had its own cinematic and scenographic universe, with a free-spirited, contemporary vision that extended all the way to the models’ hairstyles.
Backstage, L’Oréal Professionnel’s Kevin Jacotot, lead hair artist and Global Creative Contributor, explains that there was no single hair direction:
“We truly adapt the looks to the theme of each room: one will be more cinematic, another more rock-inspired, while a third will channel an ‘after-party’ spirit.”
The Hair Influences
A wide range of eras and attitudes showed up on the runway:
- Sharp, structured bobs styled with flipped-out ends and very short fringes, directly inspired by the aesthetic of the 1930s.
- Highly polished looks inspired by the 1940s, featuring sculpted waves, a deep side parting and a glamorous allure, with a Jessica Rabbit-inspired spirit.
- More punk, deconstructed looks inspired by Brigitte Bardot.
