See Barbers Battle It Out at Andis’ Copy the Cut Challenge

04/28/2021

If you’re ready to see barbers put their skills to the ultimate test, then we have just the competition for you: the Andis Copy the Cut Challenge.

Happening live on Sunday, May 2nd, the Copy the Cut Challenge is a free online battle where 50 barbers and stylists will be competing — from the comfort of their own salon or shop — in a creative showdown, with the hopes of being named the next Andis Master.

“We’ve been shut out from a lot of different shows. We haven’t been able to compete like we used to,” said Kenny Duncan, Andis U.S. Team Lead, in the announcement video. “So, now what we’re doing is creating an opportunity to bring it to you.”

Aside from winning bragging rights, competitors will have the chance to take home up to $500 and an Andis Limited Edition Copper Profoil Shaver.

To enter the competition, participants will be tasked with recreating their version of the Andis Fluid Vol 2 Modern Day Frederick Douglass cut using only Andis tools. All submissions will be reviewed by a team of judges that includes Duncan, as well as Andis Global Educator Eric Cheek, Jamal Davis, Mohammad R. AL-Talla, and Mr. Cunningham.

At the moment, all 50 spots have been filled for the battle. However, if you want to see how it all goes down, be sure to tune into Andis’ Instagram or Facebook page on May 2nd!
