Viral Barber Vernon Jackson is Creating Safe Spaces for Neurodivergent Kids

The viral sensation from Cincinnati, OH, wasn’t always the trending figure we see today. Vernon Jackson, now boasting over 30 million views worldwide, is the owner of his own salon, Noble Barber & Beauty, a two-time best-selling author, and founder of The Gifted Event.

After gaining plenty of experience working at Dillard’s, Supercuts, Great Clips, and even his aunt’s salon, he honed his skills in cutting hair. But it was the constant indecision of his ex-girlfriends over their hairstyles that finally pushed him to focus exclusively on men’s haircuts.

“I’m the kind of person that, if I make things complicated, it’s one thing, but I need it to be simple. So, my thing is about getting to efficiency. And so, guys’ cuts are efficient”.

Known for his no-fuss approach, Jackson promises quick, clean cuts in 30 minutes, in a clean space, making simplicity and efficiency his selling point – he makes it clear that talking sports is certainly NOT a part of that selling point.

He also shares the moment his social media following skyrocketed overnight—a video of playful banter with his last client of the day went viral, and he woke up to find it had more views than he’d ever seen before.

Good thing he sticks by the motto: “Your last client has to be as good as your first client”. 

Being the problem-solver that he is, Jackson identified a significant gap in the hair industry when it came to catering to neurodivergent children. This is how Jackson developed The Gifted Event, to help kids and families receive the best experience possible when getting their hair cut.

“I never had formal training on how to work with neurodivergent kids; I just had the heart and patience to go and figure it out. And to see them and love them through it in the process”.
