The Monthly Edit: Every Product Our Editors Loved in April

05/11/2022

As beauty editors, we’re always discovering and trying out fun, new products. While not every hair oil, lipstick, or serum becomes a favorite, the ones that do definitely deserved to be shared with our fellow hair and beauty lovers (i.e. YOU!).

Each month, we highlight the products that our editors can’t and won’t stop talking about. Below, see their top picks for the month of April!

Pat McGrath Lab Bridgerton Satin Allure Lipstick

“As soon as I learned that Pat McGrath would be releasing a second Bridgerton-inspired collection featuring lipsticks, I just knew I needed to get my hands on one—just for the packaging alone. All the lipsticks are housed in peach or powder blue casing trimmed with the most adorable gold bow. But packaging aside, I’m obsessed with its creamy formula and satin finish. This lipstick is so smooth that it just glides right on your lip. It also doesn’t hurt that the particular shade that I purchased (Nude Romantique 2) is pretty much my lips but better. I can’t help but want to reach for it all the time!” —Camille Nzengung, hair features editor

DNA Hair Tools Styling Comb Pro

“I’ve been in search of a straightener that works for my 4C hair and DNA does the magic! Just one pass and my strands are straight.” —Brittny Pierre, social media editor

Shop: DNA Hair Tools Styling Comb Pro, $375.00

K18 Hair Leave-In Molecular Repair Hair Mask

“As someone who has been bleaching blonde for the last two years, I was excited by the words ‘molecular repair.’ My hair is very thin so traditionally I’m not a big fan of leave-in masks, however K18 was totally different. My hair was moisturized, the visible breakage around the crown was subdued, and my blowout lasted two days longer than normal! I’ve only tried it once but that’s a 10/10 for me.” —Monica Hickey, The Tease Co-Founder

Shop: K18 Hair Leave-In Molecular Repair Hair Mask, $75.00

Virtue Labs Un-Frizz Cream

“Since I’ve been growing out my baby mullet, I’m newly interested in my hair’s texture. I purchased Virtue Lab’s Un-Frizz Cream. It makes good on its claim to “eliminate frizz and blocks humidity to keep hair sleek, shiny, and soft.” Great for air drying my curls (yes, I have them)!” —Jeffrey Lunnen, VP of Digital Content and Volume Up podcast host

Shop: Virtue Labs Un-Frizz Cream, $21.00
