This Redken Product Was Key to Achieving Heidi Montag’s “Wet Look” Hair for Her “Body Language” Music Video

04/28/2025

Heidi Montag is continuing to make her mark in the music industry—and serve endless hair inspiration while she does it.

Earlier this month, The HIlls alum dropped a steamy new music video for her 2010 single, “Body Language.” While the video as a whole was amazing, we simply couldn’t get enough of Montag’s hair. The former reality TV star sported a few eye-catching hair looks throughout the video, but our favorite was without a doubt the wavy “wet” hair look that she sported during the steam room scene.

Speaking on the vision for Montag’s “wet look,” her hairstylist Scott King shared, “For Heidi’s look in the steam room set up of the ‘Body Language’ music video, we wanted it to look natural in the environment while still looking elevated!” To style her hair for the scene, King made sure to use Redken’s new Naked Gloss Lightweight Shine Oil to ensure her locks were nourished and shiny.

The Tease was lucky enough to get the full breakdown from King on how he created Montag’s gorgeous wet waves. Keep scrolling for the details.

Get the Look:

  1. To achieve this “wet look,” I created an undone wave texture with a curling iron and I went through the hair with generous amounts of the Redken Naked Gloss Lightweight Shine Oil.
  2. I applied it to Heidi’s roots and brought it all the way to her ends to break down the texture of the waves and give it that piecey and extra glossy wet look without her hair actually being wet.
